Chip connects with students with energy and enthusiasm! He opens his local State Farm office to students interested in learning more about the business through shadowing and internship opportunities. Congratulations to Abby F. on being a recipient of the BOE's Cougar Pride Award! Abby was nominated by Virginia Kukaj-Hartman & Amy Visca who noted the following, "Abby has also demonstrated incredible spirit and commitment through her participation in the Polar Plunge for the past two years. Her compassion and dedication to supporting the Special Olympics are clear in the enthusiasm she brings to the event each year. Abby doesn’t just take the plunge in the freezing water, she arrives fully dressed in fun costumes (this year, an inflatable polar bear), bringing energy and excitement that encourages others to get involved. Her willingness to support such an important cause while spreading positivity and school spirit makes her a wonderful example of leadership and kindness in our high school community. On top of all of this Abby is a stellar French student and an important member of the yearbook club. To know Abby is to adore her!" #WeAreHFL

Rachel was nominated by Virginia Kukaj-Hartman & Amy Visca who noted the following, "Rachel has shown incredible leadership and compassion through her dedication to the Special Olympics Polar Plunge. Over the past two years, she has rallied friends, family, and members of our school community to support this meaningful cause, raising nearly $1,000. The Polar Plunge is a major fundraising event where participants collect donations to support Special Olympics programs that provide year-round sports training and opportunities for athletes with intellectual disabilities. Thanks to her enthusiasm and commitment, Rachel has not only raised funds but also inspired others to come together in support of inclusion We are so lucky to have Rachel and we will miss her tremendously next year." #WeAreHFL

We were proud to host our annual Senior Citizens’ Luncheon at our Middle School yesterday, March 18, bringing members of our community together for an afternoon of connection, conversation, and celebration. 💛

Following lunch, guests enjoyed a special matinee performance of the High School Drama Club’s production of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella—and what a magical show it was!

A huge thank you to our students and staff for making this day so special for our guests. Events like this truly showcase the heart of HF-L.
