Congratulations to Matthew Komendat on being a recipient of the BOE's Cougar Pride Award. Komendat was nominated by student Isaac C. for being a great teacher for 6th grade social studies. Not only does he make lessons fun and engaging, but in the 3 months we have been with him, he has made bonds with all the students. From the first day he was here, I could tell he would be a great teacher but also someone I can look up to and aspire to be. Thank you for a great 3 months!
Congratulations to Johnny G. on being a recipient of the BOE's Cougar Pride Award. Johnny was nominated by Colleen Halbohn and the entire 7th Grade team of teachers for being a wonderful student-athlete and an active member of the 7th Grade Peer Helpers. Johnny is kind to all and advocates for both students and staff members - consistently role modeling respectful, responsible, safe, and inclusive choices. Johnny truly embodies the Peer Helper motto of "promote the positive and discourage the negative," and we could not be more proud of him!
