Congratulations to Bob Jennejohn on being a recipient of the BOE's Cougar Pride Award! Jennejohn was nominated by the HF-L Nordic Team for consistently going above and beyond his duties, providing much more than just transportation. The team noted that, "every day when we enter his bus, we are greeted with a smile and willing assistance in helping us board our equipment. It takes a skilled and dedicated driver to navigate the treacherous climb to the summit of Bristol Mountain time and time again, yet Driver Bob does so with such joy and ease. His support for our team is unsurpassed. Regardless of the conditions, he is there for every race - standing in the frigid air to cheer on our team from the sidelines no matter what and cheering on all of us. Perhaps most touchingly, he took the time to write personalized, handwritten notes to each of our seniors for their final race. Driver Bob is a vital member of the HF-L community who makes our Nordic program truly special. We are incredibly grateful for the time, energy, and heart he shares with us. We would not be who we are without you! #WeAreHFL

Congratulations to Sebastian K. on being a recipient of the BOE's Cougar Pride Award! Sebastian was nominated by Erinn Camp and Freight Train Leaders who noted that Sebastian not only is an example of Cougar Pride, but he documents it as well! Sebastian is the student found at many of our Cougar sporting events with the camera around his neck. Students LOVE seeing him at games, the fans often pose for him while at the game. And he captures action shots of the players. If you haven't had a chance to see his work, you need to check it out! HF-L is lucky to have him document these events and hopefully for the next four years! #WeAreHFL

Congratulations to Jessica Riley on being a recipient of the BOE's Cougar Pride Award! Riley was nominated by student, Jacob P., who noted the following, Ms. Riley has been a wonderful teacher to have and is a very kind teacher and person. Every time I walk into Ms. Riley's classroom, I always feel welcomed, every day she greets each one of her students by the door of her classroom and is the only teacher who does that every day which in my opinion really shows her kindness. The main reason that I’m nominating Ms. Riley is her kindness and compassion, some days I was just down, and sure enough Ms. Riley came over and said if there's anything that I can do for you just let me know, not every teacher I know cares the same about the wellbeing of their students and colleagues.
